Job Title:  Financial Analyst I Area Operations                




This position provides Regional Operations and Account Management with a “one stop Finance shop” for P&L management and optimization, invoicing, forecasting and planning, variance analysis, issue identification and resolution and “what-if” analysis for a number of client programs.  The person in this position must proactively determine and communicate critical data and information with real-time response initiatives.  The role also involves utilizing and developing excel models for potential new business opportunities, efficiency monitoring and data reconciliation, and may also provide similar financial support for specific departments of expense.   Analyst must be able to analyze and communicate at both a macro and micro level and be a self-starter.   

  • Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
  • Serves as “one stop Finance shop” for a number of specific client programs.
  • Partners with operations to complete monthly forecasting and annual budgeting at the client level, prepares relevant financial analysis and proactively identifies and communicates issues / opportunities.
  • Completes monthly / weekly invoicing per client contracts.   
  • Works with existing client management to determine impacts of changes in the business / contract terms to the P&L and may work with sales to model and price potential new business.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.




Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 3 years of Finance / related experience required; or any equivalent combination of related training/education and experience.  Intermediate / advanced excel experience is a must.  Experience in Oracle and Hyperion helpful as these systems will soon replace our existing systems.

  • Experience with Financial Statements and P&L.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Excel most important).





Ability to read, analyze, and interpret client contracts.  Ability to clearly correspond via email, in person and phone.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, client management and customers. 



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
