Job Description

Manger Area HR Ops and Talent Acquisition - Vansant, VA

This position is responsible for all aspects of human resources providing HR services within the Site and providing guidance to managers and employees on issues related to benefits, compensation, payroll, individual development, training and/or performance management. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and executing proactive talent sourcing campaigns to recruit top talent for pipeline and high priority hiring needs.

This is a full time position, located in Vansant, VA.

HR Operations

* Support the Sites compliance with state/federal employment and benefit laws, application of corporate HR policies, and the support center’s personnel policies, procedures, and guidelines.

* Responsible for the identification of causes and providing recommended solutions for improving job satisfaction, reducing turnover, and enhancing employee morale.

* Responsible for the counseling and coaching of as well as the maintenance of timely/accurate data entry, employment record documentation and payroll database.

* Provides thorough and timely employee benefits orientation and enrollment to new-hires and management training to new management staff.

* Acts upon and oversees the thorough and impartial investigation of all reported incidents concerning workplace harassment (sexual, ethnic, religious, etc.), discrimination, and/or other alleged illegal activities by employees.

* Maintains records and reports relating to on-the-job injuries and workers compensation.

* Responsible for unemployment claims administration and company representation at unemployment compensation hearings.

* Maintains current and accurate payroll and benefits records in HRIS. Validates and assures timely completion of payroll period reports to corporate.

* Supports a union-free environment of positive employee morale, job satisfaction, and positive attitude toward management and its’ goals and objectives.

* Continually monitors, assesses progress, and recommends or takes action, as necessary, to keep positive perceptions within the Site.

* Responsible for required management training as designated by corporate or the Center Director.

* Assures that the Sites training practices provide equal opportunity to trainees.

* Proactively identifies areas through which new or additional training could improve the competency of the management team and the employee’s understanding of company benefits.

* Proactively ascertains future employment needs and challenges through analysis of historical data, employment trends, Account Manager communication, and awareness of the local/regional employment climate.

* Provides leadership, direction and support for the successful design, implementation, strategic management, and tactical management of all major programs related to employment branding, sourcing, candidate assessment, selection and hiring.

Talent Acquisition

* Reviews active candidates that apply in the ATS, interviews candidate and dispositions appropriately.

* Coordinates employment offer development with internal professional staff and extends and negotiates employment offers to candidates.

* Tracks and uses key metrics to drive continual improvement regarding recruitment decisions, to ultimately improve the quality of hire.

* Provides personal, “hands-on” involvement, direction, coaching, and support – and be accountable for all recruiting initiatives.

* Ensures compliance with established recruitment and hiring procedures, including Human Resources and EEO/Diversity policies.

* Develops highly effective recruiting team to ensure all recruiting requirements are met consistently and effectively.

* Proactively develops candidate pipelines through traditional and innovative sourcing methods, including social media avenues and any emerging technology-based methods.

* Proactively enhances candidate pipeline effectiveness through systematic development of industry and community relations and proactive sourcing through databases, talent network and internet.

* Researches and maintains updated database of sourcing and recruiting methods used by successful competitors and other companies involved in recruiting from the same talent pool.

* Meets regularly with stakeholders to listen to input and discuss ways to improve all aspects of the programs and processes.

* Participates in special projects/recruiting initiatives as needed (Attrition/Attendance, Employment Branding, ATS Implementation).

* May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
