Job Description



This position plays a key role in the SYKES Global Marketing function. The role will develop, implement, and measure the success of marketing, communication and public relations programs that promote the desired image and the strong positioning of the SYKES brand. Communications must consistently promote and reflect the company vision, values, brand and strategic strengths.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.



Measurement and Distribution

* Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and PR program that will enhance the organizations image and position within the marketplace and the general public


* Ensure articulation of SYKES desired image and position, ensure consistent communication of image and position throughout the organization, and ensure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external


* Deploy external holistic campaigns across distribution channels (i.e., website, social, client newsletters, client surveys, etc.) and internal holistic campaigns across distribution channels (i.e., intranet, internal newsletters, yammer, sales resources, etc.), measuring and analyzing using dashboards and analytics that demonstrate ROI and optimize content as well as communication channels according to results



Media Relations

* Lead proactive media strategy to support organization and sales targets, incorporating SEO strategies


* Manage crisis communication process proactively and in practice as needed


* Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests


* Act as the Organization's representative with the media


* Report important industry news on a weekly basis to sales and business executives



Analyst Relations

* Develop, manage and execute a targeted analyst relations plan; educate the most influential industry analysts who work with existing or prospective customers


* Embed with the business unit to influence strategy and sales and improve analyst perceptions and relationships year-over-year


* Influence analyst research on SYKES, its competitors and the markets that SYKES competes in; shape the perception of SYKES and the value it brings to its customers; improve analyst rating in influential reports and evaluations


* Monitor the competitive landscape and strategic developments in the area of focus; share relevant analyst research and implications with senior management to shape strategy and offerings


* Develop a keen understanding of how to build credible and impactful relationships with key influencers and leading industry analysts



Brand

* Coordinate the appearance of print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc. to align with SYKES branding


* Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of publications associated with assigned projects



Desired qualifications, skills and experience

Management

* Provide counsel to executives on marketing, communications and public relations.


* Ensure that the Organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.


* Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance


* Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications/public relations function


* Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific business of the Organization and use this information to help the Organization operate with initiative and innovation


* Gather data on competitors and analyze their method of marketing and distribution


* May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field and six (6) plus years professional experience, strong leadership skills and prior experience in the customer care call center industry required; or any equivalent combination of related training/education and experience required.
