This position will be responsible for the overall copy editing to support the Global Marketing team. This role will translate content strategies and global initiatives into compelling copy while also ensuring accurate and grammatically correct materials. Working closely with the Executive team, Operations, Sales, Global Marketing and others to develop a full range of content assets that educate, inform and communicate the value of SYKES' offerings to target audiences (employees, clients, investors and community).

Required qualifications, skills and experience

* Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
* Collaborate with multiple copywriters and give constructive, clear, and kind feedback to improve individual pieces and overall writing
* Work with various marketing team members and other stakeholders to ensure content pieces are meeting goals
* Fact check and conduct research, as necessary
* Manage multiple projects at once and always meet deadlines
* Collaborate with and build influential relationships with internal teams, delivering valuable insights and learnings to inform value propositions and future innovation
* Apply new, innovative ideas and creative ways to tell stories through content
* Ensure all content is on-brand and is consistent in quality and tone of voice
* Create clear, concise, persuasive, articulate blogs, articles, white papers, biographies, campaign emails and webinar scripts for marketing collateral, PR support, and internal and external communication channels
* Assist in content-creation templates, style guide updates and branding messaging
* Provide extensive high-level editing for context, tone, voice, consistency, readability, company branding and overall flow; perform rewrites as needed
* Conduct extensive lower-level editing for spec and grammar; provide rewrites as needed
* Communicate repetitive errors to team; recommend training opportunities to Director
* Serve as an authority on spec, branding and proper grammar
* Train team on company spec
* May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Desired qualifications, skills and experience


BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or other related field and six (6) plus years professional experience and prior experience in the customer care call center industry highly desired; or any equivalent combination of related training/education and experience required.

* Demonstrable experience with B2B content creation, personas, content creation, social media marketing and use of business intelligence tools

* Strong knowledge of copywriting best practices

* Exceptional grammar skills, with high familiarity of Chicago Style Manual and AP Style Guide

* Most possess strong organization and project management skills; strong capability in the Microsoft Office suite

* Ability to balance need for creativity with a data-driven approach to measuring impact and success

* Must have ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines

* Ability to protect sensitive and company-confidential information

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Innovative thinker and problem-solver with interest in digital trends and marketing
