Lacerte is Intuit's premier professional tax preparation software in its ProConnect Tax Group, generally used by large accounting firms with complex workflows and clients. As a locally installed desktop product, Lacerte customers download the program to prepare tax returns for both individuals and businesses alike.

Customer service and technical support experts for Lacerte are a tiered support system depending on the type of assistance their customers may require. This may be:

* Installation of the program (systems)
* program navigation
* Input-related questions
* Some sales.

Lacerte customer service agents are not required to have any prior tax law knowledge or certifications: through a comprehensive training program, new experts are equipped with the knowledge of the program of how to help our customers develop the tax returns they need for their clients.

ProConnect Tax Online (PTO) is Intuit's newest emerging professional tax preparation software in its ProConnect Tax Group, generally used by small firms or individual tax preparers. As a web-based product, ProConnect Tax Online customers utilize the cloud to virtually prepare tax returns for both individuals and businesses alike. Common agent queries include the following:

* How-to program navigation
* Input-related questions
* Billing troubleshooting

Customer service experts for PTO are not required to have any prior tax law knowledge or certifications: through a comprehensive training program, new experts are equipped with the knowledge of the program of how to help our customers develop the tax returns they need for their clients.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
