Job Description

Sykes is looking for a maintenance coordinator to work on-site in our Morristown location. The ideal candidate will live within 15 minutes of the site to address any alarms that may go off outside of business hours.

This role will primarily be responsible for working and coordinating the day-to-day facility maintenance, cleanliness, and control of environmental, safety, redundant power, and security systems.This position is typically responsible for 24 X 7, on-call, emergency response for seriously malfunctioning facility equipment or maintenance systems.

Required qualifications, skills and experience


* Maintain facility cleanliness including, but not limited to carpets, fixtures, restrooms, lunchroom, grounds, and another employee common area.
* Daily trash pick-up from offices, workstations, and commons area (inside and outside)
* React to non-routine custodial needs such as spills, water leaks, (includes roof) employee illness, or accidents.
* Coordinates activities with facility service sub-contractors and supply vendors including point of contact, quotations, service delivery, insect spraying, snow removal, and other misc. items.
* Monitors and provides for routines and nonroutine service to support facility systems including backup generators, security alarms, fire protection, sprinkler systems, and HVAC equipment to include filter maintenance.
* Maintenance logs along with emergency, after-hours points of contact should be developed and kept up to date at all times.
* Provide / Track guidance to maintenance assistant(s) in tasking and performance review commentary on their work to the site manager.

Desired qualifications, skills and experience


* HS Diploma or equivalent
* 6+ months of experience in Maintenance or relevant schooling.
* Be able to use ladders
* Average computer skills are required-email, internet searching, and brand/product comparison
* Communication skills via varying methods, written, email, text, verbal
* Look up and order parts, materials or equipment requirements
* Research products, brands, services as needed
* Experience with ordering products online
* Sourcing suppliers
* Reading invoices
* Putting desks, cabinets, tables together
* Changing various types of lights
* Checking and recording Fire systems
