Job Description

At Sykes we help people one caring interaction at a time - that starts with you! As a System Administrator you'll lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security hardened Windows Desktop Endpoint devices to enable our team of agents to deliver outstanding customer service using their familiarity with iOS and/or macOS or comparable technology for our tech-giant client. This highly sought-after role is based out of our soon-to-be remodeled, state of the art Langhorne, PA facility.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

What You'll do:

* Partner with engineering teams and peers to define and test system designs
* Work closely with peers in the deployment of Microsoft updates, third-party patching, application and operating system deployments, and Windows 10 development and servicing.
* Acquire, install and upgrade hardware and software, maintain security policies, troubleshoot and provide technical support.
* Responsible for effectively administering remote systems.
* Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

Desired qualifications, skills and experience

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years related experience required; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.

* Familiarity with iOS, macOS or comparable technology is preferred in addition to familiarity with the devices that run those platforms. Knowledge of current and prior versions is strongly preferred.
* Experience with application packaging and deployments utilizing MDT
* Understanding of local system settings and Group Policy Objects within Windows 7, 8 and 10.
* Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 Operating Systems.
* In-depth Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, network and proxy troubleshooting.
* Strong understanding and hands-on experience and knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
* Extensive experience with at least one of the three following technologies; Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), BigFix and Symantec the Endpoint Computing tools and systems. Experience with HP's Deployment Manager would be a plus.
* Three years of experience managing Operating System, Application Deployment, and Patch management using MDT, BigFix or Altiris.
* Four or more years of systems administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
* Highly experienced with image creation/testing and deployment through MDT, Ghost or PXE environments.
* MCSE preferred
