Job Description


The position is responsible for leading technology program management across globally diverse teams of subject matter experts (SMEs), to fulfill the strategic objectives of the organization. This is a highly visible position requiring collaborative engagement and partnership with executive stakeholders, clients and internal leadership. The Senior Manager role will drive collaboration and engagement with regional Security peers, taking accountability of their technology and functional programs to provide leading insight with direct business stakeholder interaction. The Senior Manager will provide strategic project management of global initiatives reporting to the Director, Global IT, Cyber Operations.


  • Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
  • Develop and manage cross-functional teams to provide a tiered program management organization which attracts, retains and develops diverse and inclusive highly technical personnel.
  • Develop and mature the Security programs to operational efficiency through quantifiable metrics.
  • Generate and analyze data to provide insightful metrics which drive the actions of the Security and Global IT organizations.
  • Provide direction and guidance to regional Security teams, and Operational partners, providing senior leadership with performance measurements, and recommendation input to a process of continual improvement of operational efficiencies across the Security organization.
  • Project management for key strategic global initiatives. Working in collaboration and partnership with peers to drive areas of improvement within the Security landscape.
  • Participate as a key member of the SYKES Corporate Emergency Response Team as required.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required qualifications, skills and experience


Bachelor's Degree in information security, computer science or related field and six (6)+ years of management experience in a similar global/cross-function role required. CISSP required or must obtain within 6 months. SSCP, CSM, ICSA and/or GAIC certification desired; or any equivalent combination of related training/education and experience required.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO27001/2, SSAE16/18, SOX and Data Privacy regulations is essential.
  • Five (5) years' experience in information security or IT operations fields, maintaining appropriate industry certifications.
  • Strong leadership skills in the areas of leading through influence, relationship building and strategy development and execution.
  • Management ability to work independently and in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to cultivate channels of communication (both written and verbal) to effectively influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, able to work both independently and as part of a project team in a fast-paced environment, and under tight deadlines.
