GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Project Manager will have responsibilities included by but not limited to the management of projects and their requisite strategies for successful delivery. Working closely with clients to develop and understand their business processes and deliver business solutions.

The successful candidate will have the passion to shape and direct transformation and software implementations and provide the rigor and tenacity to lead diverse teams to successful outcomes. The Project Manager is a critical member of the team, influencing project culture, building meaningful relationships with clients, and shepherding projects from assessment through deployment and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage delivery teams on project specific engagements
  • Provide leadership, support and direction to the delivery teams assigned to projects within the assigned portfolio
  • Assume responsibility for an active project portfolio to ensure projects are delivered to the required timescale, budget and quality
  • Provide clients with the support and guidance required to ensure the success of any client engagement being managed
  • Maintain financial and project control
  • Manage client interaction, status reporting, risks, dependencies and project plan
  • Gather feedback, facilitating adoption and continuous improvement where applicable
  • Provide ongoing communication to stakeholders through a defined communications plan following up with deadlines and actions.
  • Build long-term and strategic relationships with clients and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to and assist in the enforcement of the continuous improvement of working practices covering a range of delivery models and project management concepts.
  • Accountable for managing deliverables through define, design, configure, test and deploy phases of delivery working with client teams and internal development teams.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client and providing effective management to teams and giving guidance to others and key business users.
  • Provides management for the project and the team in planning, budget, oversight and documentation of all aspects of the project, while meeting on-time and on-budget project goals.
  • Experience and track record of successful project delivery utilizing multiple project management methodologies, frameworks, tools and techniques.
  • Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required qualifications, skills and experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Degree educated with at least 4+ years in a Project/Program Management role, 3 years of which are in a technology field managing external client facing projects. Or any equivalent combination of related training/education and experience required.

  • Technical Project Management and Business Project Management (Training, Communications, Metrics, Business Requirements, etc.) experience
  • Excellent project/time management skills required.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, maintains confidentiality, shares ideas and information, facilitates discussions and transfers knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to write concise project plans and present ideas. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with international teams supporting automation development
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to lead or work with and on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Working knowledge of agile concepts (Scrum, SAFe)
