Job Description

This position will conduct day to day functions of fixed asset accounting utilizing accounting skills to track, process and research discrepancies. This will include account reconciliations, performing account analysis, processing transactions and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adherence to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity

  • Assist with the monthly closing process including the fixed assets (additions/adjustments/disposals) management, calculation of accruals/prepaids and the input of journal entries.

  • Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet, income and expense accounts.

  • Research and correct any account discrepancies with focus on the fixed assets accounts.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly management reports.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end audit schedules.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing system and process improvements.

  • Supports the internal and external audit functions as necessary.

  • Distribution of asset reports to management and assisting with the annual asset physical inventory process.

  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
