Business Analyst II - Wise, VA


GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing analysis, design, implementation, and support services across the operations team and provides support to other areas within the organization. This position places special emphasis on the analysis and implementation of functional processes, including those that impact Finance, Operations, and Support roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
  • Thinks critically and contributes reporting and analytics to positively impact the organization.
  • Delivers consistent, accurate reporting to all levels of the organization.
  • Optimizes data flow and creates automated data/reporting solutions.
  • Increases visibility to the business by developing reports in conjunction with the needs of internal teams and partners.
  • Works closely with business owners and stakeholders to identify and analyze key business trends, identify gaps, define future requirements, develop business cases and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrates broad working knowledge of the department’s functional responsibilities and interdependencies with various business partners, and an in-depth knowledge of functional team responsibilities, procedures, risks and controls.
  • Evaluates actual business results and forecasts with a degree of healthy skepticism with the objective of improving forecast accuracy and alignment with stated company objectives.
  • Approaches management with fact-based analysis and recommendations for maximizing company profits and/or improving processes to be more effective and efficient.
  • Delivers in-depth analysis and understanding of results for assigned lines of business and expense categories.
  • Serves as liaison to assigned brand/functional areas to ensure alignment and to develop an understanding of the financial results and forecast for each.
  • Utilizes project management, technical and analytical skills to provide support ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to users and its customers.
  • Responsible for managing assigned escalations, researching or providing root cause analysis.
  • Plans and accomplishes goals with limited supervision.
  • May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
