Position Summary:
This position supports Rapid Delivery (Current Platform), Premisys, and/or Legacy quoting. Reports to Regional Leader. The responsibility of the Quoting Consultant will be to support the Regional Leader with all presales activities with experience and understanding of all steps and processes inclusive of Current Platform (Formerly VRD), Legacy/manual quoting and ordering process. The Quoting Consultant will need to prioritize workload within their vertical/region to ensure fluidity and completion of the presales activities required to be completed to place an order, inclusive of quoting and pricing. The Quoting Consultant will collaborate with the Regional Leader on contracting strategy as it relates to new customers or customer enablement from the Legacy Platform

Quoting Consultant is responsible to understand all steps of the quoting process flow inclusive of the contracting strategy. Quoting Consultant will work in any system (VRD, Proposal Manager, Premisys, etc.) required to produce a quote or request, including but not limited to CPE punch-outs (with or without a BOM), PCM engagement, SA review, tax/regulatory approvals.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Generally requires minimum of 2 yrs experience in same or related discipline

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting Regional Leader with quoting strategy, inclusive of product set and dependancies.
  • Assisting Regional Leader and sales teams with contracting strategy. New logo, New Order and Amendment process.
  • Contribute to areas of process improvement to maximize efficiency.
  • Assist with troubleshooting any issues arising out of quoting process with appropriate groups
  • Creating any/all quote/order activity within Verizon designated systems depending on the request assigned (VRD, Proposal Manager, Premisys, etc.)
  • Creating quotes for Moves, Adds, and Changes, and Disconnects (MACD) orders within relevant system (VRD, Proposal Manager, Premisys, etc.)
  • Working with account teams, the pricing team, and product managers to ensure all being quoted is setup properly
  • Thorough understanding of CPE template options
  • Meet/exceed Quoting SLAs
  • Interact with the Regional Leader and other team players within GSAT
Technical Knowledge:
  • General knowledge of Networking Technologies
  • Familiarity of WAN technologies: MPLS, (carrier) Ethernet, TDM
  • General knowledge of the telecom market (i.e. Carriers, VAR’s and System Integrators)
  • Overall technical aptitude and forward thinking
